Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using technological media in improving the phonetic and phonological acquisition and production processes in individuals with ASD, through a systematic review of a range of global and Arab studies, that we have selected through an online research on Google Scholar, PubMed and the Algerian platform for scientific journals (ASJP), using Arabic, English and French languages. The results of the review showed that technological media play a significant role in improving the phonemic and phonological system in individuals with ASD, they also have an active role in diagnosing phonetic and phonological problems, and in improving phonetic and phonological acquisition and production. The study concluded that the research field in Algeria needs more studies in both typs: theoretical and clinical studies that aim at clarifying and evaluating the effectiveness of technological solutions in developing the phonemic and phonological system, and at providing the clinical field with modern techniques that effectively contribute to the processes of detection, diagnosis, assessment, teaching and training.
