Abstract

The concept of high intellectual potential is associated with a particular cognitive style of learning .Recent electrophysiological studies based on the activity induction technique in children with high intellectual or cultural or sporting potential, most often called "high intellectual potential", have shown that there is accelerated maturation as well as hyperactivity in the right hemisphere, associated with the specific cognitive pattern in the desired activity. The results of these studies have highlighted the need to use neurological techniques to detect and diagnose cases of “gifted” children, as well as the importance of knowing the specificities of information processing in this group of children. child, and according to the neurological specificity of each person. Through this observation, we will attempt to present the neurological bases of “high intellectual potential” as well as show the neurological specificity of children “of high intellectual potential”.
