The Role of Knowledge Management in Developing the Skills of Workers A Field Study at IRIS Company for the Electronic and HomeAppliances Products- The Unit of Refrigerator – Sétif city

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the role of knowledge management in developing workers skills at IRIS Company for the Electronic and Home Appliances Products- the Unit of Refrigerator – Sétifcity, by using the descriptive method, and the tool of directed questionnaire to the sample of study which was intentionally chosen, consists of 27 senior managers of IRIS company, after obtaining the responses of sample and treating them, by using the program of statistical packages SPSS version 23, the results showed that; the application degree of knowledge management by the company subject of study is high, with arithmetic average of the axis as a whole reached 3.65, it also showed that the degree of skills acquired by the workers fits the high needs of  company, with arithmetic average of the axis as a whole reached 3.61, and the results revealed a statistically significant relationship between the application of knowledge management and developing of workers skills. And that knowledge management has a role in developing the necessary skills of workers, as well as its participation in the strengthening of company’s position, maintaining its readiness, and keep up with changes taking place in its environment. the study recommended on the importance of enhancing cooperation, creating an organizational culture which encourages producing, spreading, and sharing knowledge, the necessity to provide the opportunities of acquiring knowledge and make training for all workers without exception, and to create suitable environment for creativity and innovation.
