This study aims to uncover the training needs for information specialists, who prepares and provides electronic information services to users with visual disabilities in the central university libraries of some universities in the eastern states of Algeria_ Constantine, Batna, Oum Boigui, Biskra. We have adopted the descriptive approach, using both questionnaire and the interview to collect data. Among the most important findings, that university libraries employs information specialists without studying their qualifications and roles in job descriptions, so they agree to receive comprehensive and accurate training on electronic information services for people with visual disabilities, to reduce the knowledge and applied gaps in this area. In addition, they need to identify national and international legal legislation, and training on both assistive technology and electronic information services for users with visual disabilities.
