Abstract

The current study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence levels, in all its sections, among public health sector employees in Setif city, to some individual and work characteristics . The study was based on data collected from 105 employees in the sector, through Schutte's and colleagues self-report emotional intelligence test items. For statistical treatment, the study used the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, and ANOVA techniques. The results showed that public health employees have a medium emotional intelligence, which varies according to the nature of the work contract and the duration of work in the health institution. And at the same time it is not affected by age, gender and educational level. The study presented proposals and prospects for future research related to the topic.
