ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN ALGERIA DEPENDING ON NATURAL GAS

Abstract

We are studying in this paper the possibility of achieving sustainable development in Algeria based on natural gas, where Algeria is taking various actions to achieve it and its objectives.

Sustainable development focuses on economic and social development while preserving the environment from pollution. By studying and analysing indicators and statistics, we have concluded that natural gas, as traditional and abundant energy in Algeria, helps to achieve sustainable development, providing electricity, which is the foundation and engine of economic development, is an important necessity in people's daily lives. and the generation of electricity through natural gas does not cause significant environmental pollution, such as oil and coal.In addition, gas itself is very important as it is fuel for various engines and machines, as well as for household uses for all individuals.
