Theoretical Integration With Practice In The Initial Training Programs for TeachersAs shown by the results of previous studies

Abstract

In this work, we have read and analyzed some recent studies, for an important problem related to an aspect of "the initial training of teachers". This problem is represented by a gap between the theory and practice in the initial training programs for teachers. The descriptive approach was adopted in this study, where we dealt in an analytical manner with three aspects related to the "The practicum" component. These aspects, according to educational research, contribute to bridging the gap between theory and practice in the initial training programs for teachers, namely:

• The three components of training (specialist, pedagogical and practical);
• The practicum partners;
• The evaluation process accompanying the practicum component.

This study aims to contribute to the renewal of teacher training programs in Algeria, which is currently taking place.
