Abstract

The virus of Corona ( COVID 19 ), which affected the world’s workers and researchers in all scientific disciplines, where epidemiological and biological approaches sought to examine, from a biological perspective, the underlying causes of its emergence and spread, while  the humanities and social sciences were concerned with the social and cultural aspects of this phenomenon and with the repercussions of Corona as a crisis for individuals and societies.

Sociology examines the social representations of groups and how epidemics or diseases are perceived. When these representations are taught, they seek to understand prevailing mindsets and then define appropriate prevention parameters, so that we cannot imagine a good prevention without breaking up cultural formats and perceptions of individuals about the virus.

The stone and isolation as well as the measures of prevention are a very social affair, in addition to the rumors, interpretations and predictions that differ among social groups and their cultural and community affiliations (rural-city) and reached the point where reason returned to the stage of superstition.

This article was therefore an attempt to understand how the members of the community of the Machira region and the Corona epidemic were represented, and did their christment affect their respect for quarantine and prevention measures? The study is therefore part of exploratory research and, to achieve its results, both the descriptive approach and the case study approach as well as the content analysis technique, which is called for by the nature of the study to analyze the contents of the interview, which was conducted with ten senior area research professionals representing the collective memory. The study found that the residents of the Machira area are committed to quarantine and the procedures for the prevention of the Corona virus are linked to their social refrigerator for the epidemic.
