Abstract

First year school students and, during their sessions of foreign languages and French in particular, complains about a phenomenon relating to teaching learning a foreign language, which involves implementing a dialog or a bridge between the source culture and target culture(s). The notion of intercultural takes place in a broader sphere; it encompasses culture, itself the product of civilization. Languages are not simple school subjects like other subjects such as history-geography or physics or even the natural sciences. They are both vehicles and objects of learning. In the context of language teaching and learning, the choice of supports is not accidental. It comes from a well-studied selection in order to meet the required conditions, which will satisfy the objectives set out at the start.

To do this,   French as a foreign language teachers must be aware of the usefulness of integrating the (inter) cultural dimension in their lessons in order to remedy the incorrect and distorted meaning in which learners of this foreign language fall. The results of this strategy can only be satisfactory for efficient language teaching and learning
