Abstract

The term is a special linguistic sign based on two main pillars; Form (dénomination), the other meaning (Sens) or concept (notion), that is, the verbal description of mental perception. Terminologie deals with the structure of terms, their meanings, lexical derivations, semantic developments to the term of idiomatic stability, and their transfers between different cognitive fields. This study has specialized in searching for the reality of the functions of the linguistic term between Western and Arabic studies. Where the study ended up describing the Arab achievement in comparison to the Western achievement, which translates the terminology of this science from the Latin languages, individually and personally, that may depart from that methodological basis that combines the communication links between the components of linguistics as is the western research, as well as a departure from the spirit of the Arab linguistic heritage during Treated.
