Obstacles to the use of technical innovation inorthophonic practice

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the main obstacles faced by speech-language pathologists in using technological innovations in speech therapy practice.This was done by designing a questionnaire and distributing it to a random sample of 20 practicing specialists from various regions of the country. Their work sectors varied between public and private. This study falls within the scope of descriptive analytical research and employed both qualitative and quantitative methods.The findings revealed that the obstacles iclude the unavailability of these technological innovations in Algeria,their high cost, and the lack of training and awareness about the importance of using these technological innovations in speech therapy practice in universities.
