Abstract

This study aims to shed light on the contribution of corporate social responsibility in mitigating the effects of pandemics and health disasters, with a focus Covid-19, by analyzing the contribution of the five major global high-tech companies social responsibility in mitigating the economic and social impacts of the Covid -19.

We found that corporate social responsibility have a role in mitigating the effects of epidemics and health crises through efforts to support employees and health care organizations and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.  Also, we found that the five major global high technology companies have applied the concept of social responsibility to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 through

Supporting small enterprises with financial aid, supporting research aimed at creating a vaccine for the virus, supporting health care, news and the media, and making donations to non-profit organizations working in the fight against covid-19.
