This article tries to identify the presence or absence of the cultural facts of French culture in the texts proposed to secondary school learners. It will therefore be a question of whether the chosen texts are based on the culture of the target language to make it a source of motivation in French as a foreign language and to link the culture presented in textbooks and programs. To do this, we tried to analyze the textbook for the second year of high school in a thorough way and that of the first high school year to draw conclusions. The study revealed that cultural content follows theme of the didactic projects on which they depend and is used for language leaning cultural or intercultural competence is not part of the didactic objective of teaching languages.
