Abstract

This study focused on the concepts & Topics of citizenship values in the textbook of Social Disciplines. The aim of this study is to reinvest in citizenship values, in order to contribute to the development of new models of teaching this highly important subject. We have relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, which is comparable with the nature of this study. We have also relied on the technique of content analysis, by preparing networks to analyze the didactic texts in the textbook.

And so far the conclusions we've got, indicate that the current didactic approaches are still traditional and should be renewed, and that should be in order with the educational reforms such as ''National Charter for Education and formation '' in 1999, and and also by the '''Strategic Vision for Education Reform 2015-2030''. Also, the methods that make the learner merely a recipient of knowledge should be changed accordingly with the new didactic methods of compenetcies that make the learner in the center of the educational learning process and as a contributor to the production and development of knowledge, while the new role of the teacher is now a guide and a facilitator of the educational learning process.
